This is a pre-wired premium 3-way harness for Telecasters. You can choose options for Standard or Reverse layout, and choice of Capacitor.
- 2 CTS Custom Premium Audio Taper 275k pots.
- 1 Oak Grigsby 3-way Switch
- 1 Mallory 150 series .033uf Capacitor. or Mallory .047uf (Your Choice)
- 1 Treble Bleed Circuit

These are the highest quality Pots that the CTS corporation manufacture.
WD Music developed these high-quality solid shaft Pots with CTS, to offer you exceptional performance in electronics for your guitar. These are not the same CTS Pots that other companies stock and sell. These are developed using 9% +/- tolerances and a value at 10% over the standard 250k rating (275K). This ensures you, not only optimum performance but guarantees your potentiometers will always be the value stated unlike many others using 20% tolerances where you can be over spec, but in most cases way under the specifications you need, to ensure good tone from your pickups. They added high quality Brass components and a high-quality wiper versus what comes standard with most run of the mill pots to ensure long life, quality and consistent performance.
I also offer this harness with a choice of capacitors. Fender, historically used the .047uf cap but in this day and age, more and more pickup manufacturers are recommending a brighter cap.
In my Teles. I use the .033uf Mallory Mustard Tone cap.
Why use a .033 tone cap? The .047 gets things pretty dark and takes off too much of the highs. The .022 can be too bright. The .033 would get you in the middle naturally and strikes a good compromise between both worlds. If you are a Jazz musician, then I would use the Mallory .047uf cap.
These Mallory Mustard Tone Caps are far superior to the Orange Drop.

This kit is the best bang for your Buck and if you are upgrading your telecaster this is the number one mod.
Please Note: If you are putting this harness in an imported Tele, you will probably need a USA spec Control Plate and USA spec Knobs.
USA Control Plates have a 3/8” hole for the pots whilst Metric Control Plates use 8mm (approx. 5/16”) holes. Also, the slot for the switch lever on a metric control plate is not long enough to accommodate a USA CRL or Oak Grigsby switch.
USA (CTS) pots have a 1/4” (6.3mm) solid shaft post whilst metric pots use 6mm post, so metric knobs won’t fit on CTS pots.
