Premium Full Wiring Kit for Gibson Les Pauls. With this Kit, we have used the highest quality potentiometers that the CTS Corporation manufacture.
WD® Music Products developed these high-quality potentiometers with CTS® to offer you exceptional performance in electronics for your Les Paul and other carved-top instrument requiring the longer 3/4" bushing/shaft length. These are NOT the same CTS pots that other companies stock and sell. These are developed using 9% +/- tolerances and a value at 10% over the standard 500K rating (550K). This ensures you not only optimum performance but guarantees your potentiometers will always be at least the value stated unlike many others using 20% tolerances where you can be over spec but in most cases way under the specifications you need to ensure good tone from your pickups. They added brass components and a high-quality long-life wiper versus what comes standard on most run of the mill pots to ensure long life, quality and consistent performance. WD spared no expense and thought of everything whilst working with CTS, right down to chamfering the tops of brass shafts, making it easier to install your guitar knobs.
On all the pots that I ship, I write a ‘V’ on two them and the other two with ‘T’ on them, so you will know whether to use them for volume or tone. Your volume pots should always be a higher value than your tone.
Here at Atlantic Custom Guitars, we have gone one step further. With this set, you are purchasing a set of 4 handpicked 550k CTS Pots with a 5% or less tolerance. We buy these pots by the 100 pack and then we hand measure every one of them and split them up into either 525k or 550k which allows us to offer even closer 5% tolerances on both the 525k and 550k.

- 4 – 550k CTS Premium Potentiometers with 5% +/- tolerance - Long-Split-Shaft, Audio Taper (2 nuts per pot)
- 1 – Switchcraft 3-Way Short Toggle Switch with Cream Tip
- 1 - 6" Shrink Tubing to insulate the braided wire that runs through the control cavity to the jack.
- 2 – Your choice Capacitor .022uf Orange Drop or .022uf Mallory or .022 Oil filled Centralab.
- 1 - Switchcraft 1/4" input jack
- 4 ft of Gavitt Braided Wire (20" from Switch to Jack and 2 x 14" from switch to pots)
- 8-3/4" of Gavitt® Single Conductor Vintage Cloth Black Wire for grounding the pots.

This kit uses Long Shaft Pots and will fit most USA made Gibson Les Paul's manufactured after 1977. If you have questions, please contact me.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are using this wiring kit for an Epiphone or imported guitar, you will most likely have to open out your pot holes to 3/8" (10mm) whilst imported guitars with metric pots use a smaller 9mm hole. You will also need USA spec. guitar knobs with 24 spline. Metric knobs will not fit. They are a slightly smaller diameter and 18 spline. If you try to force metric knobs onto USA spec pots, you will break the pot.
